The Division of Mental Health & AODA Services provide specialized therapeutic counseling to individuals and families whose lives are eclipsed by psychological, situational, and addictive behaviors. We are a catalyst in helping our clients unlock their strengths and combat their weaknesses.

The birth of our organization was the establishment of our Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. New Concept Self Development Center has provided Outpatient Mental Health and AODA services to adults and children in Milwaukee County since 1975.

We provide comprehensive treatment programs to clients needing guidance through changes and difficulties in their lives. Our providers have extensive experience and expertise counseling adolescents, adults and families. And, given that self-identity usually depends on one’s cultural affinity, on-going assessments inform our treatment approach. Our agency is certified as an outpatient treatment facility under HSS 61.91 and S.61.59 of the Wisconsin State Statues.
